External neutral investigations

Impartial, trauma-informed investigations of sexual assault, harassment, discrimination, bias, stalking, intimate partner violence and historical abuse, including Title IX matters. I interview students, faculty, staff, coaches, athletes and minors with care, review the evidence thoroughly and deliver a clear, well-supported report that applies your policy’s standard of evidence.

My role is tailored to your process:

  • Fact-finding: gathering the evidence and presenting it in a clear, organized report.

  • Fact-finding with credibility assessments: adding reasoned assessments of the credibility of the evidence gathered.

  • Findings and determination: where your process allows, applying your policy and standard of evidence to determine whether a policy was violated and whether the respondent is responsible.

Alternative resolution

I facilitate alternative resolutions outside of the formal conduct process, utilizing restorative practices when possible and appropriate. Drawing on my training in restorative justice, I guide voluntary processes that focus on accountability and healing, giving the people involved a way to be heard, take responsibility and shape how harm is repaired.

I also facilitate community and team circles after harm that affects a group, support reentry after suspension or leave, and provide training in restorative practices.

Hearing advisor

I serve as an advisor to a party in a live hearing, helping them understand the process, prepare and participate fully, including conducting cross-examination where the process requires it.
